Private space you can actually live in
The rooms are furnished for more than sleeping: proper desks, useful storage, private lockable doors and good natural light. Four bedrooms face west towards the cul-de-sac and away from the railway; Room 4 has the greener rear outlook through mature trees.

Room 1 — 14.21 m²
A bright ground-floor room with a large full-height west-facing window, a 140 × 200 cm bed, full-size desk, office chair, wardrobe/drawers and bookcase. It sits on the cul-de-sac side of the house and has plenty of room to work, sleep and switch off without the bed taking over the space.
What makes it worth choosing over another room
In a crowded rental market, the difference is the whole living setup — not a long list of appliances.
A proper shared home
Only five residents share the house, and the lounge has been kept as a lounge rather than converted into another bedroom. There is also a private garden and a modern 2026 kitchen.
Less friction day to day
Council Tax and the main household bills are included, broadband is fast, communal cleaning is handled professionally every fortnight, and each room has allocated kitchen storage.
Useful practical advantages
Two-car driveway parking, additional resident-permit options, washer/dryer, supplied household equipment and furnished workspaces make the house easier to settle into from day one.
Leafy at home. Winchester life close by.
Sparkford Close is a small residential cul-de-sac with mature greenery, yet the University is very close and the hospital, historic centre and station sit within the wider walking and cycling area.
The attraction is the contrast: a quieter residential street to come home to, while pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, sport, running, the station and the old centre are close enough to be part of normal life rather than an occasional trip.
A surfaced, continuously lit pedestrian/cycle route behind the house provides a useful shortcut towards central Winchester. The neighbouring Sleepers Hill area adds to the leafy residential character, but Sparkford Close itself is the home.
